This self-portrait work is also related to the idea of memory and of a journey; in these instances it is a purely psychological journey through specific mental and emotional states.  The honesty seen in 'Self Portrait 1815' by Goya and the work of Francis Bacon held resonance with me during the production of these photographs. With the multiple exposure photograph, I wanted to capture the idea of time passing in a single image

This piece also explores the idea of the index, a trace that is left behind. Other images in the series were more surreal, and were organised as sequences and groups of images and explore the idea of the distorted body as male anxiety as well as masculinity.
